Who Are We?
Harvest Aid is a Christian Relief Agency facilitating the delivery of aid to orphans and the needy in Africa. Harvest Aid provides food, help and other needed supplies to those in desperate need. This includes child/orphan and Child-led family sponsorship programs, feeding projects and disaster relief.
It is our firm belief that as far as possible indigenous people should be helped to provide for themselves. It is however a fact of life that disasters occur and that people need short term aid.
One of the most challenging facets of providing aid is the need to make sure that the aid that is given to designated target group arrives at it's destination. Most aid seems to disappear along the way with the needy receiving only a small portion of the donated aid. We works in close partnership with HIM. Harvest Aid uses the infrastructure of HIM to control and facilitate the delivery and distribution of aid. This enables Harvest Aid to ensure that aid arrives at it's goal.
Child/Orphan/Child-led Family Sponsorship Program
Harvest Aid is involved with school feeding projects, orphanages that place children into foster care and then provide food, school fees, books and clothing for these children. These foster families also benefits from the food aid. Currently we have several projects across Southern Africa.
Harvest Aid is represented in the USA by Hope Builders International (a 501 (3) c) organization and by the Dove Trust in the UK.
In South Africa Harvest Aid is a registered Section 21 Company
